Left my heart in San Francisco…
You’re gone. As suddenly as you came to me
Like nightfall followed dawn without a day between
You’re gone and suddenly I can’t see
I’m in the shadow of you
I can see you in my minds rose-tinted eye..
Somewhere you’re drifting by
Your heels rolling sparks on the lucky streetYou are the light
You have the day
I have the night
But we have the early hours
We have the early hours
We have the early hours together- Steve Hogarth, You’re Gone
Question
How does a talk radio host hold the entire conservative movement hostage?
LA's Most Wanted
LAPD has released it’s most “most wanted” list. What does it say about me that I immediately go to see if my father is on the list? Add in their my surprise that he’s not.
(And in three sentences I’ve managed to give you a huge insight into a lot of parts of my personality…)
RIP: Phil Palousek 1976-2008
I got word this morning that a friend had passed away. I hadn’t seen Phil in at least a year but there are a lot of good memories of shared adventures and hijinx.
I’m not sure what else to really say at the moment. It’s a bit of a shock when you hear one of your friends is gone.
Gonna miss you, Phild0g.
9/11 Silver Dollar
Want a way to insure your memory of this fateful date never vanishes? What better way than a $20 silver commemorative coin? (warning: embedded video on page.)
Gotta dig the voice over work.
Sunrise in Boston
Woke up at my normal time this morning. (Though, it’s really about three hours earlier than normal I suppose…) My conference doesn’t kick off until noon so I thought I may have some time to get in some sight seeing this morning. Ms. Cleo is advising otherwise:
You may be confused about your own schedule today. Maybe you double-booked yourself or, perhaps, you wrote down a time incorrectly. But even if your calendar is in good shape, you still might be late to work or for an appointment. Don’t make feeble attempts to cover your mistake by telling a lie or even by stretching the truth. Be honest and deal with the consequences of your actions.
Eh. What does she know? Come on… I’m going to hit up a Dunkin Donuts (I forgot Dunkin owns the hearts of East Coasters) then climb on to the MBTA and make my way down to the UMass.
Boston – Day 1
I’m in Boston for a technology conference. I arrived mid-afternoon and go to spend some time down near the harbor before the sunset. It’s a beautiful city. I’m going to try to find time for some historical site seeing. There’s the Adam’s Family Museum (not the Addam’s Family!) a bit south in Quincy; the JFK Presidential Museum to the south; Paul Revere’s House to the north; a few others as well.
Tomorrow night I’m off on a complimentary dinner tour of the harbor. Can’t wait.
RIP: Robert Mondovi
Famed wine maker Robert Mondavi has passed at the age of 94.
Dinner for mom
I just got some spam suggesting I order a large dinner for my mother on Mother’s Day. Thoughtful, right? Unless that piece of spam comes from Pizza Hut.
I don’t know about the rest of you but Pizza Hut for Mother’s Day would likely be met with death.
Instead, I’m taking my mom to a real fine dining establishment: Wendy’s.
(Just kidding, mom. Mostly, anyway.)

Sleep
Sleep tonight
And may your dreams
Be realized
If the thunder cloud
Passes rain
So let it rain
Rain down on me
Mmm…mmm…mmm…
So let it be
Mmm…mmm…mmm…
So let it be
Sleep
Sleep tonight
And may your dreams
Be realized
If the thundercloud
Passes rain
So let it rain
Let it rain
Rain on me- U2, MLK
